Hello Berries. With the coming out of cosy jumpers goes the nude lip. It is the time to bring out and the rock wine and berry tone lips. On a cold, dark autumn night it's a game of the darker the better. Granted we're not quite there yet since the weather is albeit hesitant to let go of the sun and warmth, it's never too early to dust off my autumn lip stash.
Being on the brown complexion side berry tones are usually my fail-safe colour. Why I think so I haven't got any clue other than I have yet to find a autumnal lip colour which I don't like. Here are my 5 lip autumn staples. Oh wait, I purposely did not include lip balm for chilly wind as I find it a given. Of course.
This is by far my favourite because of its colour pay off, longevity and consistency. I love how creamy it feels on the lips and not anyway drying. I find the colour very cool and is the perfect prune-y one. You can be dressing down in your cosiest but will instantly feel glam up as soon as this comes on. Nice shade, even application, light on the lips.

I have to be honest that I got this one only because a while back everybody was raving about this. I couldn't help myself, as it was almost everywhere. The colour was right down my alley and to when I see it on people it looks amazing. And it is. The colour is for me that is. As much as I love the shade I am not so sure on application. Maybe I am doing it wrong but it comes very patchy on my lips. It snot until after I build the colour up will I get the even coverage that I am looking for. However the good thing is, after build up it still feels comfortable on the lips. I got there in the end, it may have started dry and patchy but it ended light and easy to wear.

I'm not sure if they still have this in store I got this maybe a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if lip gloss meant to stay that long but hey I love it and do not want to part with it. It's not practical for me to wear full on berry hued lipstick everyday to work so this is my cheat. It is the perfect shade and since it is a lipgloss I can get away with it anytime, anywhere. A staple on my pocket at work. My only gripe is because it is very glossy hair stray always sticks to my lips.

This was my first foray on the liquid lipstick bandwagon. As much as I love my lipstick bullet as much as the next person the idea of a liquid one is very intriguing. It is much lighter to wear than the regular lipstick one super easy to use albeit you need to be extra careful. Liquid is not very forgiving to mistakes. It dries fast and thankfully doesn't transfer to my teeth. I find it to have a weird taste and it stayed about 3 hours until I notice the need to re apply.

With dark lips comes a dark base. I have fallen in love with a lip liner even with nude lips. On a perfect liner lips all it needs is a gloss and you are set. This Sleek liner I find is perfect for a berry base. It has a pink tinge to it but can be built up. It sometimes even out the darkness of the lipstick making it just right.
